Work Through the Night with Confidence: Martin’s Story

Customer: Martin
Machine: Fendt 720 Tractor

The Challenge

As the owner of a Tree Care company, Martin often works into the night maintaining trees, grounds, hedges, etc. He found that the factory-fitted lighting on his equipment didn’t provide the clarity or spread he needed, slowing him down and creating possible safety issues. For Martin, good lighting isn’t a luxury—it’s essential to get the job done right, even in the darkest conditions.

The Solution

When Martin purchased his new Fendt 720 in November 2024, he knew exactly what he needed: UTV Products LEDs. Despite his tractor coming with factory-fitted LEDs, Martin requested these be replaced during PDI* with UTV Products’ lights.

“I’ve used Fendt’s factory LEDs before, but after switching to UTV Products, the difference was night and day. With UTV lights, hedge cutting is far easier in low light, and I can work safely and quickly through the night. For my new tractor, I didn’t want to settle—I wanted UTV Products from day one.”

The Results

The decision surprised even the dealership’s fitters, who initially thought the factory lights were sufficient. Once the UTV lights were installed, everyone agreed—the difference in brightness and clarity was incredible.

What is Lux?

If you’re wondering, ‘what even is lux?’ – here’s a quick explanation:

Jack from UTV Products explains:

“Lux measure the brightness of light at specific point. It’s the SI unit of illuminance, equal to one lumen per square metre. In simple terms, it shows how effectively the light illuminates a target area at a distance.”

*Remember: All lights fitted tractors during PDI are offered to match the Manufacturer’s Standard Warranty of the machine. (This warranty excludes Extended Warranty.)

**Please Note the power output of this Lamp maybe high than the power rating for some machines, therefore will need additional wiring or relay to stay within a safe power level for original wiring.

These lights are high output and hence draw considerable current. Care must be taken to not overload original wiring when fitting to your machine.
